1. The Director granted recognition to JETCO as a recognized certification authority ("CA") under Section 21 of the Ordinance. The recognition is valid from 29 April 2002 until 28 April 2004.
2. On 12 June 2003, the Information Technology Services Department received from JETCO a letter which informed, among others, that JETCO had decided to terminate the CA service and JETCO also requested termination of its status as a recognized certification authority with effect from 15 September 2003.
   
   On 19 June 2003, the Information Technology Services Department received from JETCO a letter which informed, among others, that JETCO would terminate the service as a recognized certification authority with effect from 15 September 2003 and revoke all recognized certificates before the termination.
   On 18 August 2003, the Information Technology Services Department received from JETCO a letter with the following information regarding its recognized certificates:
   
   

   (i)	all JetCert certificates issued by JETCO had been revoked as of 14 August 2003;
   (ii)	the revoked certificates and the latest Certificate Revocation List would be published in the public repository of JETCO until 13 October 2003;
   (iii)	On 14 October 2003, the public repository of JETCO would be shutdown; and
   (iv)	the JETCO JetCert Root CA and JETCO JetCert CA certificates would be revoked on 15 September 2003.

   
   On 8 September 2003, pursuant to section 23(4) of the Ordinance, the Director made the decision to revoke the following recognitions:
   
   

   (i)	the recognition of JETCO as a recognized certification authority granted under section 21 of the Ordinance (Ref: Certificate Number: ITSD-CA-2002-02); and
   (ii)	the recognition of the following recognized certificates: (a) JETCO JetCert Root CA; (b) JETCO JetCert CA; (c) JetCert granted under section 22 of the Ordinance (Ref: Certificate Number: ITSD-Cert-2002-02).

   
   Pursuant to section 23(6) of the Ordinance, revocation of the above recognitions took effect on 15 September 2003.
3. Joint Electronic Teller Services Limited commenced operation as a recognized CA on 29 April 2002.
